Contact support

Email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

You are contacting support for the IndieGauge iOS app and IndieGauge hardware (modular gauges and Sensor Hub), operated by FlatOut. This is not GridUno event or account support.

Safety first. Do not pair, configure, calibrate, or troubleshoot IndieGauge hardware or the app while driving. Park in a safe place first.

Do not troubleshoot, pair hardware, or change configurations while driving. Sensor accuracy depends on installation, sensor condition, wiring, and calibration.

Quick fixes

  • Update IndieGauge to the latest version in the App Store.
  • Force-quit the app and reopen it.
  • Restart your iPhone.
  • Power-cycle the gauge or Sensor Hub (with the vehicle safely parked), wait a few seconds, then reconnect.

Bluetooth permission

The app needs Bluetooth access to find and talk to your hardware.

  • Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Bluetooth and make sure IndieGauge is switched on.
  • Open Control Center or Settings → Bluetooth and make sure Bluetooth is on.
  • If you previously denied access, switch it on in Settings and reopen the app.

Pairing and reconnection

  • Keep your iPhone close to the hardware while connecting.
  • Make sure the hardware is powered and not already connected to another phone or device.
  • If a connection drops, close and reopen the app, then reconnect.
  • If it still fails, restart the hardware and your iPhone and try again.

Sensor Hub and gauge discovery

  • Confirm the Sensor Hub or gauge has power and its status indicators show it is running.
  • Check that sensor and power cables are fully seated and undamaged.
  • Rescan from the app's connection screen after powering the device on.
  • IndieGauge works only with IndieGauge hardware, not third-party devices or OBD/CAN adapters.

Calibration and incorrect readings

  • Check sensor mounting, wiring, connectors, and any damage. Poor installation commonly causes bad readings.
  • Confirm the sensor type, units, and calibration values in the app match your setup.
  • Recalibrate following the instructions for your sensor, with the vehicle safely parked.
  • If a reading looks implausible, do not rely on it. Verify with your vehicle's own instruments or a qualified technician.

Custom images and backgrounds

Where custom backgrounds are available in your version of the app:

  • If the app asks for access to your photos, allow it in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → IndieGauge.
  • Try a different image; very large or unusual file formats may not load.
  • If an image disappeared, it may have been removed from the device or app data; select it again.

Email [email protected] with:

  • Your iPhone model and iOS version
  • The IndieGauge app version
  • Your gauge and Sensor Hub models and firmware version, if known
  • What you expected, what happened, and the steps to reproduce it
  • Screenshots or a screen recording, if helpful
